Max Glass was born in January 1867 in Russia.13

Max Glass and Lena Weilestein appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Perth Amboy, at Middlesex County, New Jersey at 193 State Street, enumerated 15 June 1900. The residence was listed as a home (not a farm) and was rented. The official date of that census was 01 June 1900. This census is unique in that month and year of birth were requested for each individual, in addition to each individual's age at the official census date. Their children Anna Glass and Rebecca Glass were listed as living with them, as well as Mary Sitka, listed as a servant. The two adults in the household were listed as being able to read, write, and speak English. No children in the household were listed as attending school (the eldest was age 5). Lena Weilestein was listed as the mother of four children, with three of them living as of the date of the census.13 Max Glass was listed as a dry goods merchant in the 1900 census in 1900.13

Between 1912 and 1918 Max Glass lived at 121 Rahway Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey. His occupation was listed as operating the Liberty Hotel, which had the same address. He was (an unknown value) in 1915.8

Their children Rebecca Glass, Benjamin Glass, Abraham Glass, Rosie Glass, Harry Glass and George Glass were listed as living with them, All of the members of the household age 14 and over were listed as being able to read and write. All of the children living at home except Rebecca (age 23) were listed as attending school after September 1, 1919.14 Max Glass was listed as a retail merchant (a worker), liquor in the 1920 census. Even though the 18th amendment to the US constituition, which initiated prohibition, and the Volsted Act, which implemented the amendment, were passed in 1919, they apparently did not actually take effect until 1920. on 31 January 1920.14

Abraham Kramer may have been born circa December 1870 in Russia (his grave marker lists 1869, his death certificate lists 1871, and 1872-1874 can be inferred from other documents; the 1900 US census lists March 1860, but the year, at least, is likely in error).18

Abraham Kramer immigrated circa 1890 to the United States (other sources list 1884 and 1889).26

Abraham Kramer married Sarah Levine, daughter of Abraham Levine and Rose Ziegelneitski, circa 1891.

Abraham Kramer is listed as one of the "newly arrived Jewish men" who "formed the First Perth Amboy Hebrew Mutual Aid Society. This group was a fraternal association that provided varous mutual benefits to its members. Its first meetings were held in the home of Morris Slobodien at 79 Smith Street." This organization apparently evolved into the Shaarey Telfioh congregation, although the congregation seems to have met at private homes for some years until the first building with that name was constructed in 1891.27

Abraham Kramer was naturalized circa 1894.25

Abraham Kramer appeared on the New Jersey state census of 1895 at 3rd Ward, Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey.28

Abraham Kramer and Sarah Levine appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey at 181 State Street, enumerated 15 June 1900. The residence was listed as a rented home (a house, not a farm). The official date of that census was 01 June 1900. This census is unique in that month and year of birth were requested for each individual, in additon to age at the official census date. Their children Jeanette Kramer, Esther A. Kramer and Samuel E. Kramer were listed as living with them, as well as Philip Levine, Sarah's brother. Everyone in the household over age 10 was listed as being able to read, write, and speak English. No member of the household was listed as attending school. Sarah Levine was listed as the mother of three children, with all of them living as of the date of the census.26 Abraham Kramer was listed as a dry goods merchant in the 1900 census.26

Abraham Kraemer is listed as a "pioneer member" of the Shaarey Tefiloh Congregation (synagogue) circa 1903.29

Abraham Kramer appeared on the census of 1905 at Perth Amboy, 3rd Ward, Middlesex County, New Jersey.18

Between c1905 and c1925 Abraham Kramer's occupation was listed as operating a dry goods store at 313 State Street, Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The 1910 census characterized his occupation as "retail merchant, gentleman's furnishing," which might provide additional insight into the nature of the store.

Abraham Kramer lived in 1907 at 246 State Street, Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey.22

Abraham Kramer appeared on the census of 1910 at Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey.30

Between c1910 and 1936 Abraham Kramer lived at 236 State Street, Perth Amboy, New Jersey. His occupation was listed as retail merchant, apparently in gentlemen's furnishings, in the 1910 census (the word presumed to be "furnishings" is partially illegible).30

Abraham Kramer appeared on the census of 1915 at Perth Amboy, 2nd Ward, Middlesex County, New Jersey.19 He was listed as a merchant, dry goods, in the 1915 state census.19

Abraham Kramer and Sarah Levine appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey at 236 State Street, enumerated 6 January 1920. The home was listed as owned with no mortgage. The official date of that census was 01 Janurary 1920. Their children Esther A. Kramer, Samuel E. Kramer, Bessie Kramer and Bernard Kramer were listed as living with them. All members of the household age 13 and above were listed as being able to read and write and to speak English. Samuel and Bessie were listed as attending school.25 Abraham Kramer was listed as a retail merchant, dry goods (and an employer), in the 1920 census.25

Abraham Kramer appeared on the census of 1930 at 236 State Street, Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey.15

Abraham Kramer completed a will on 16 May 1935 at Perth Amboy, New Jersey.31

Abraham Kramer died on 15 August 1936 at New York, New York.32 He was buried in 1936 at Congregation Shari Tephalo/Congregation Beth Mordecai Cemeteries, Florida Grove Road, Perth Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey.21

After his death, a portion his will was ruled invalid because it violated the "perpetuties clause" (the will established a trust that held certain properites, with no provision that identified under which the trust could be disbanded).
