It is unclear (as this is written in late July 2016) which brother of Keziah Thomas Jarman Powers was her father, but it might have been Euphrades Scott Jarman, who apparently had a daughter named Mary.¹

He loved music and was a fine dancer (apparently being the practice dance partner of choice for eight older sisters.)²

Winifred was listed as not employed for wages, keeping house, and not seeking work the week of 24-30 March. No occupation was listed for her. She reported 0 weeks worked in 1939, no wage income, and she did have other income (other than wages and salary) in excess of $50. The population schedule indicates a farm schedule was filed for this household.²
