The name of the cemetery was "assigned" by members of the Osage County Historical Society based on the names on the one marker in the cemetery with legible words engraved on it. It is not known (as of February 2017) what the original name of this cemetery was -- or, indeed, if it had a name.^1,2

Adam's parents were the previous household entered on the census schedule page. A note on the census schedule page appears to indicate these households were in the southern portion of Jackson Township.³

Information in his father's Civil War pension file suggests his birth year could have been 1884, as does the Find a Grave web site, the index of information apparently compiled by the state of Illinois documenting his death, and his 1942 draft registration.^1,3,5,4,6

It is possible her middle name was Mille or Milicent.^4,2 She was born on 4 December 1893, based on what are judged to be the most reliable sources (although the specific month in uncertain in one of the Civil War pension documents, due to difficultly in reading the original handwritten document).^1,2,3,5 Her birth date is listed as December 1894 at Missouri in the 1900 census, where her name seems to be given as Millie I Smith.⁴

She was apparently listed as "Millie I Smith" in this census. However, it is possible that Florence and Millie are two different people, who have been merged incorrectly in this compilation.⁴
