John was listed as employed, having worked 40 hours, and not seeking work the week of 24-30 March (although the 40 hours was crossed out, probably because he was employed in government emergency work and only hours in private employment were supposed to be reported in that column of the form). He reported 17 weeks worked in 1939, $200 in wage income, and had other income (other than wages and salary) in excess of $50. Lona is listed as doing housework, not employed for wages, and not seeking such employment. No occupation was listed for her. No 1939 wage income was reported for her and she did not have non-wage income in excess of $50 in 1939. The population schedule indicates a farm schedule was filed for this household.5
