The text also indicates that, althougth he was born in Humphreys County, he moved to Montgomery County when he was one year old and lived there most of his life, except for a "short while" when he lived in Union County.3

This family has an oddity that might be due to one person having two different grave markers, which resulted in two different Find-a-Grave memorials being generated for one person (with non-identical information on them). In particular, the family appears to include two individuals who seem to be brothers (perhaps twins) who died as infants. They are Leon (listed as born 26 Jan 1833, died 6 Feb 1933) and Ceon (born 1 Jan 1933, died 20 Sept 1933) -- these dates are from their Find-a-Grave memorials (the 20 Sept 1933 date is from a photograph of a grave maker on the Find-a-Grave page, the date -- the text -- on the actual memorial, i.e., on the web page, is 29 Sept, but that is probably a typo).

Each of these two Find-a-Grave memorials has a grave marker photograph, and the two photos are different. The one for "Leon" is older (clearly more weathered, based on photos appearing on the site in 2014) and has only a single date on it: 1933. The one for "Ceon" is newer. It is possible that (1) both of these grave markers are for one individual and (2) at some point a newer grave marker was added (but the older one was not removed) and errors were made on the newer marker.

Since there are other possible explanations (many of which involve certain combinations of errors), both names have been inlcuded in this compilation (as of July 2014). This is an area that needs additional research (but that is not considered a high priority by CCF, as of July 2014).1,2,3,4

He was employed on the date of the census and reported zero weeks of unemployment during 1909. George was listed as having been born in "Canada - German," which apparently meant a section of Canada where the predominant everyday spoken language was German (the town now called Kitchner Ontario would be an example of such a community; in 1910 it would have been known as Berlin Ontario). Maude (--?--) was listed as having six children, five of them living, as of the date of the census.1

Smead Jolley1

M, b. 14 January 1902, d. 17 November 1991
Smead Jolley was born on 14 January 1902 at Wesson, Arkansas.1

He played professional baseball for many years, including 4 seasons in the major leagues. He was an outstanding hitter, but (apparently) a poor fielder (defensive player). His defensive weaknesses were so profound that (except for four seasons) major league teams could no afford to keep him on their rosters, despite his great offensive skills.1 He appeared on the same census page as Harry S Wilson and Helen (--?--) for the 1940 census of Spokane, Washington.1

Smead Jolley died on 17 November 1991 at Alameda, California, at age 89.1

He was apparently also known as Bones.2 Dickie Lee Fields's first name was sometimes spelled Dickey.2 He was born on 17 February 1942 at Luverne, Minnesota.1

On 8 July 1948 Dickie Lee Fields's residence was listed as Luverne, Minnesota. However, since his parent's permanent address at that time was Colorado (and he was only around age 6), it is more likely that he was only at an extended stay in Luverne at that time.3

Dickie Lee Fields married Carol Brewer.1

Dickie Lee Fields married Linda Delaney at Denver, Colorado.1,2

Dickie Lee Fields died on 17 January 2013 at age 70. Resided in Aurora Colorado at the time of his death. The funeral and visitation preceeding it were both held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 950 S. Laredo Street, Aurora Colorado on 26 an 2013. Three grandchildren are mentioned in his obituary: Jeremy Fields, Amy Jean Aagard (husband: Mitchell), and William Fields. The condolence messages mentioned he was fond of camping and fishing trips, riding Harleys (motorcycles), and was remembered for sometimes dressing "colorfully" (cowboy and "motorcycle" outfits).2
