Elizabeth Cullipher There is a Tyrrell County estate record for an Elizabeth Cullipher who died in 1825. However, CCF thinks that was the wife of Isaac Cullipher, Elizabeth Lucas Cullipher, not THIS Elizabeth Cullipher. This is speculation because Richard Lucas, brother of Elizabeth Lucas Cullipher, was executor of that 1825 estate.

CCF Note (9/3/2008) -- In addition to the above (undated note), the will of Charles Spruill, dated 14 Dec 1814, and (as of 2008) given on the Tyrrell County NC web site(under patriot.net/!cpbarnes/SPRL1814.HTM), indicates an Elizabeth Cullipher was the married name of a sister of Charles Spruill. Elizabeth Cullipher was also known as Unknown Cullipher.3 She was born between 1791 and 1800.3,4

Elizabeth Cullipher was listed as a minor child of Henry Cullipher during probate of his estate in 1806 at Tyrrell County, North Carolina.5 Elizabeth Cullipher lived in 1806 at Tyrrell County, North Carolina.1

Hanson K Green was born on 13 September 1910.2

Hanson K Green married Wynona Marie Fields, daughter of William Orville Fields and Pearl Jane Platt, on 26 December 1940 in Independence County, Arkansas.1

He entered the US Army on 8 August 1942, apparently having been drafted from Local Board #1 in Coconino County, Arizona, (this county is in north central Arizona and includes the city of Flagstaff). His serial number was 39 848 971. He was honorably discharged on 10 Feb 1943 for medical reasons. He received a Certificate of Disability for Discharge (CDD) essentially due to kidney stones. This illness was considered to have existed prior to his military service (i.e., not contracted in the line of duty).

At the time of his discharge, he was a private, first class, in the quartermaster section of the 1918th Service Command Unit (SCU) at Camp Beale, California. The 1918th SCU was apparently something like the base "housekeeping" organization. Starting in 1944, that SCU also administered a Prisoner of War (POW) camp for captured German soldiers. However, Green was apparently out of the army by the time the POW camp was established.

The few military records relating to his service that were not destroyed in a 1973 fire suggest that he had been incapicated with his illness for about 30 days in January and February 1943. He had at least one dependent who was receiving an allotment of $22 per month (possibly only $18 during his final partial month of service). He had received (or been advanced?) $45 from an Army Emergency Relief fund associated with Camp Beale (possibly related to his early-1943 illness). The records do not list the names and/or number of dependents he had at that time.4

Hanson K Green died in September 1970.2 He lived at Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, at the time of his death.2

Hanson K Green's Social Security Number was 526-05-9073, issued in Arizona before 1951.2
