Machu Picchu

This is the north end of the archelogical area. The rectangular grassy area is what I had called a ceremonial area in some of the descriptions of photos taken in the morning. Here it is viewed from the other side.

The building with a thatched roof seemed to mostly be a shelter for rain (and possibly for where park rangers give talks at times?). There are actually two roofed buildings facing each other, but the second one is difficult to see in this photo).The next photo is a close-up of these areas, probably taken with the 3X zoom.
