Impala

Not sure why this photo and the next one have such fuzzy focus. I'm pretty sure both these photos are of impalas. Could be they have been "highly" cropped to try to enlarge the bird that appears to be standing on the back of the impala.

East Africa had about 10 different anelope-type species, which I never learned to distinguish from one another while I was there (except the dik-diks, which are much smaller than the others). I've done the identifications in these descriptions with a guidebook in front of me.
