This is a church built over a much older Roman-era church. There are ruins of a mosaic tile floor in the basement of the current church. This is kind of a pre-show exhibit to help guides explain to tourists what they are going to see when they enter the church and do to the basement. The map is an early Christian style where they show Jeruselum as the center of the world.
Only a portion of the original map still exists. Jeruselum is an oval near the lower left portion of the fragment of the map that still exists.
