November 26, 2011 -- Sunrise at two temples at Abu Simbel (built by Ramses II), cruised past ruins of an old fortress at Kasr Ibrim, Amada (three structures moved here to escape lake flooding).
We got up well before sunrise to watch the sun rise at the temple at Abu Simbel (wihich faces roughly east). This photo is out of sequence. It was taken later in the morning (after the sun came up) to provide a place/location marker in the sequence of photos.
