November 26, 2011 -- Sunrise at two temples at Abu Simbel (built by Ramses II), cruised past ruins of an old fortress at Kasr Ibrim, Amada (three structures moved here to escape lake flooding).
As I said, we got up well before sunrise.
The colors in the various photos of the temple are inconsistent because of (1) the use of artificail illumination of the temple before sunrise; (2) the varying amounts of light as the sun came up; and (3) the various post-processing "fixes" I used on these photos (not the same "fix" for each photo).
