November 25, 2011 – Flew from Cairo to Aswan, lunch in Movenpick Hotel in Aswan (on north end of Elephantine Island), bus to Abu Simbel, arriving after dark.
This was taken from the bus while driving toward Abu Simbel. There was absolutely nothing to see on this part of the trip except desert (and one agricultrual area of perhaps one square mile -- I wasn't sure if it was irrigrated or if it was an oasis). (IMG_0789A.jpg)
