November 24, 2011 – Coptic Christian area of Cairo, including Coptic Museum and synagogue.
Ramy was amazed (and perhaps a little perturbed) that we would be standing in front of an amazingly old building (that he was describing -- and that we had paid big-$ to come to see) and the tourists in his group would all be looking (and photographing) a cat or kitten. But, I believe the ancient Egyptians did have a cat god of some type, so perhaps it makes sense.
