Across the street from this mural (behind where I was standing when I took thes photos) were businesses, largely travel agencies and banks. There would be three or four ladies standing quietly in front of the entrance to each bank, each holdiing a wad of currency (US currency in at least some cases). They did not seem to be bank employees. They were clearly there waiting for people to come up to them to make some kind of transaction (without going into the bank) -- possibly an off-the-books transaction or underground economy transaction. I never found out was was going on there.
