Cuzco

The first day in Cuzco (which was a Sunday, I believe) we had seen several cute-as-could-be little girls in their traditional dress and carrying lambs or baby goats.

The pose for photos, but you really need a coin to give them as a tip. Oddly, it's rather difficult to get coins in Peru (in the Peruvian currency, the sol, which is really the Nuevo Sol, they have probably revalued at least once over the years).

Finally, the last full day in Cuzco, I had managed to hoard a few coins and I picked a girl (ONE girl, was my intention). She immediately called out to a bunch of friends, who came running. I ended up having to snap one this one quick photo, before more of them showed up than I had coins for (I had visions of creating an international incident).

This one photo was just snapped quickly -- not carefully posed and focused as I had planned.

During the trip, saw several mature women (mid-30s and up) wearing more traditional clothing (including hats somewhere between a fedora and a stovepipe). The women dressed this way were mostly out in the countryside, as best I recall (not in Cuzco).
