Peru -- Primarily Machu Picchu (Dec 2010)

Someone took my photo from the top. I believe the city is below the group of clouds on the left side of the photo.

The guidebook I'd seen suggested a physically fit person could get to the top in one hour, from the sign-in point at the beginning of the trail. It took me 62 minutes to get to the top. The expression "physically fit" is my wording. I forget exactly how they phrased it, but it was something along those lines. I suspect that were saying that if you weren't within sight of the top in a hour, you should turn back.
