Looking back across the terraces. The people visible on some of the terraces gives some idea of the immense scale of this place.

The two buildings (eith thatched roofs) at lower left were where we entered the terrace area (following a walk of perhaps 200-300 fee)t from the gate where they collected tickets, etc. They think these were storage building for food products grown on these terrace farms I;m facing roughtly south here.

The buildiings are covered by thatched roofs. Only a few buildings currently have roofs. They are, of course, reconstructions to give visitors some idea of what many of the other buildings looked like when the city was alive.
