Kilimanjaro Series
We saw at least three families of elephants on this afternoon game drive -- at least I counted them as separte families -- there were separated from each other by both time and distance. Howeve, it's possible that (in some cases) we saw one family twice (or three times), with the sightings separated by 10 minutes or more and a mile or so in distance.
As I went thru the process of sorting and selecting thses photos, I wasn't always sure which elephant photo was the last one of one family (or what i thought of as one family) and the first one of the next family (or what I thought of as another family).
This photo starts what I'm calling the Kilimanjaro series. Several of the photos in this series are of the mountain. Some show a group of elephants standing in an area where the mountain appeared to be behnid them (the mountain was not visible in some of the elephant photos).
These were taken over some time (as is evident from the differeing amount cloud cover around the mountain in some of the photos). I'm not sure it the same family of elephants in each photo in this series.
