Kenya and Tanzania -- Oct 2012 -- Part I of III

There was a "lake" at Amboseli, which was a main source of water for the animals. Our game runs or game drives were on roads that intersected the trails the animals used going to and from the lake area. It took me a while to realize that (at least when were were there -- near the end of their dry season), the lake is more like what I think of as a marsh. I'm nto sure this photo was actually taken a the main lake, but this is pretty much like what much of the lake was like. Definitely wan't like Lake Michingan or Lake Tahoe.
