3 Nov 2013 (Sunday) – Sydney Australia – Sydney Museums and Town Walk

Description on base of another stature (next photo). Flinders is holding a navigation instrument (probably a sextant) in the staute. Unfortunately the statue is placed and located such that it is difficult to get a good photgraph of it (at least that's the case for a photographer of my ability). This statue is located outside the State Library of New South Wales, which is the building in the background.

The several photos after the next one are of a nearby life-size staute of Trim, his cat (which is located and placed so that it is more photogenic). There's more about Flinders and Trim in the trip journal or log. Learning about Flinders and Trim on this trip was one of several things that made me really feel humble about knowing so little about Australia's culture and history. (IMG_4473.SX40B.JPG)
