The first five images in this album were taken just prior to and during the daily Organizing Committee meeting held at 6:30 AM during the conference.
The bridge seen in several photos in this album is the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge over the Cooper River in Charleston, which is east of the hotel.
The city of Charleston occupies a pennisula with the Cooper River on (roughly) the east side of the city and the Ashley River on (roughly) the west side. Both rivers are named after the same man, Anthony Ashley Cooper (1621-1683), an English political leader, who, among other things, played a role in bringing Charles II to the English throne (Charleston is named for Charles II).
