Impala
Again, my memory sort of fails me for this day. I THINK what we did was have a fairly late start. We went on a game drive toward an exit from the park (but slowly, looking at animals, etc.).
After a rest stop at the park gate (with "interesting" rest rooms), we went to a native fishing village on Lake Victoria. Then we came back into the park and returned to the tent camp. My memory is that after lunch, we had the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the luxury tent camp (and catch up on reading e-mail, since the tent camp had a strong (and free) wi-fi signal in the bar area (the bar was also in a tent, of course, a fairly large one).
There were some dramatic views from this tent camp (as did several of the Serena lodges. The camp seemed to be at the end of a ridge, which provided dramatic views in three different directions.

The "flag" next to the hippo is a teste fly trap (actually, as I understood it), it contained a chemical that was sort of a birth control for the flies, not a poison. The two colors are are supposed to be attractive to these flies. Turned out, one of the shirts I brought on this trip was alomst exactly the shade of blue that appears on this "flag".

This is one set of toilets. They had other rest rooms that were somewhat more upscale than this, but not by much.
After I got back to the US, I read an article where the writer speculated that, in a hypotheritcal situation where a choice had to be made between giving up (1) all the advances in phones made after 1980 and (2) our standard pluming fixtures (flush toilets, hot and cold running water, etc.), most Americans would keep the plumbing and give up the phones. Interestingly, however, in many places in the world, people are, in effect, making the opposite choice. They are adopting cell phones and (in efferct) deferring plumbing.

Fishng Village
The next several photos were taken at a fishing village on the shores of Lake Victoria. The boats are in view because most of the fishing is done by the men at night. There is a market (where I didn't really get any good photos) where the fishermen's wives sell the fish (and people from surrounding farms sell vegatbles).
The village has no electricity or running water (but does have a school).

This was off on kind of a side street. These are mud bricks drying. It looked to me like they had dismantled an older building, converted the old mud bricks back to mud (by adding water) and were using the same mud to make new bricks. Apparently a mud brick building slowly dissolves due to wind-driven rain striking it from the sides and from small amounts of water leakage through the roof seeping into the brick walls.

There were a lot of birds around the seashore of the village.
The black and white birds are Black-winged Stilts. I'm not sure about the ones with the gray on top of their bodies and on their heads.
Looking at the bird photos taken at this village that I picked for this album, the thing that surprises me is that storks do not appear in any of them. There were a LOT of hugh storks near the shore and on and around the buildings closest to the shore. I may have omitted them because I didn;t have what seemed to be a good photo of a stork. And obtaining a good photo of a stork is probably not easy. There are (to me) not very attractive birds. There is at least one photo of this type of stork in an earlier album.
