November 23, 2011 – Sakkara (Step Pyramid), large pyramids (and Sphinx) at Giza.

This photo is probably has even more types of "corrections" applied to it than the previous one.
This shows a wider angle than the prevous photo.
The photo at left is the largest pyramid. It looks smaller, but that's in illusion because of angles (and also -- I seem to recall hearing -- because the builder of the one second from left started on slightly higher ground). The third from left is the smallest of the three "large" ones (and the one I later went "into").
There are three really smaller ones at right. I may be remembering incorrectly (and "turned around" in my memory) but I believe there are also three other small ones that can't be seen in this photo (they are sort of "behind" the two larger ones at left). The sphinx (shown later) is also hidden in this photo (I suspect it is behind the pyramid that is second from left, but it may be hidden by the sloping ground in that area). (IMG_0615A.jpg)
