This is a baby still nursing, even though it is too big to fit in its mother;s pouch (well, I ASSUME it's too big to fit in the pouch). Earlier, in Hobart (at the zoo-type place) had seen a baby in a pouch eating. The mother was bending over to eat grass -- and baby put it's head out of the pouch and also tried to eat the grass. The two small (low population) nations joined together to create a single army to support Great Britain (their mother country -- as it was viewed then) during World War I. Here you can see an older turntable-type bridge under the newer ANZAC bridge. The turntable is now permanently locked open to alow ships to pass thru. It looked to me like the deck of this older bridge is now used as a car park (as they call parking lots) (IMG_5819.SX40.JPG)
