Downtown Mt Maunganui. but the main commercial street in Tauranga looked very similar (although the retail commerical area there might have been a block or two longer). Most of these photos are from Mr Maunganui. Didn't really get off the bus and walk around in Tauranga.
The nearer trees are date palms and the taller one in the background is a Norfork Pine. These types of trees were all over the area and appear in some other photos. (IMG_5103.A495A.JPG)
